Frequently Asked Questions

When Should You Replace Your Mattress?

There are a lot of factors that go into whether or not a mattress needs to be replaced and what will affect the lifespan of your bed. Things to consider when determining if it’s time for a new bed are things like your size, weight, the quality of the mattress material, and — like everything else — how well you take care of it.

According to Sleep Foundation, “Under normal conditions, mattresses should be replaced every six to eight years.” This is a broad and general guideline with several factors to consider:

  • If your mattress is six to eight (or more) years old.
  • It is impacting your quality of sleep.
  • The mattress is sagging or is damaged.
  • If the springs make noise.
  • You sleep better in other beds, like at a hotel or a friend’s house.
  • There is an increase in allergies.
  • You wake up with muscle or joint pain or stiffness.
Why Should You Buy a Bed-in-a-Box?

Have you ever tried shopping for a bed? It’s worse than shopping for a car! A bed-in-a-box option is easy and gets delivered right to your door, usually with contactless delivery.

Have we mentioned convenience? It saves on having to go pick it up at the store, although you could if you wanted. I mean, look at Serta’s EZ Tote, which is their smallest tote available. If you’re still not convinced, here are some of the top reasons to use mail order:

5 Reasons for Ordering a Mattress in a Box
  1. Convenience: You can order directly from the comfort of your home, arrange it neatly in your home, and carry it to different areas in your home.
  2. Technology: A variety of new cooling technology and hybrid options are available.
  3. Antimicrobial: Easy-to-clean and antimicrobial options are available.
  4. Affordability: There are options available for any budget. Nectar was voted “best value” by the Sleep Foundation.
  5. Trial Period and Warranty: Mattress brands offer long periods for trials and warranties. Nectar has a lifetime warranty and the longest trial period.

No matter which route you go, there are plenty of mattress deals out there. Pick the one that best provides you with comfort and that complements your sleeping position.

The 10 best medium cigars I’ve tried and tested in 2024
Man smoking cigar casually outside his home, best medium bodied cigars.

Cigars come in a range of strengths, from mellow and mild to full-bodied. The middle road, as you might expect, is a solid medium. One misconception I commonly see about cigar strength is that it directly correlates with flavor. While full-bodied cigars do offer robust and unique flavor profiles, it's not always true that they are the most flavorful. If you know where to look, you can find many mellow to medium smokes that are still flavor bombs. A perfect example of this is the . Yes, it's a mild to medium blend, but the flavors are incredible, with a creamy buttery finish. Medium smokes are also what I would recommend to friends, family, and acquaintances who don't like the toasty and smoky flavors of a stronger cigar like a Maduro. Without further ado, here are the best medium cigars I've tried and tested in 2024 and would recommend to everyone else.

These are the best Maduro cigars I’ve tried and tested in 2024
Maduro cigars on Spanish decorative tile table

Maduro cigars offer some pretty complex flavors. While there are a few major cigar wrappers, from Connecticut and Corojo to Habano and Maduro, Maduro is one of the broadest categories in the cigar world, second only to Natural (Connecticut). The tobacco used to create Maduro wrappers is usually harvested from the top of a tobacco plant, where it gets the most sun exposure. They're also aged and fermented, where most of the oils and darker colors come from. Maduro means "ripe" or "mature' in Spanish and is also called Capa Negra.

You may recognize Maduro cigars by their markedly darker colors and shades. Still, the Maduro category includes many types, like Connecticut Broadleaf, Double Maduro, Mexican San Andres, Colorado Maduro, and more. Most people mistake Maduro cigars as being the strongest, but that's not necessarily true, and it's not always the case. Maduro flavors are rich and full-bodied for sure, but also usually very sweet. Depending on the type and the blend -- including the filler and the binder -- you'll taste flavors like chocolate or cocoa, coffee, earth, wood, leather, and cream. Varying pepper levels may also come through, especially when smoking Nicaraguan cigars.
